"Error is a coward before Truth"

[Of special interest to children]

Tracy sat on the front steps of her house watching the children skate by on their skateboards. They seemed almost to be flying. Their clothes and hair blew in the wind. "I wish I could try it," she thought. But she was afraid.

Tracy knew that it wasn't right to be afraid. She had learned this in the Christian Science Sunday School. One of the very first things she had been told is that God surrounds us with His loving care all the time. She thought about the time Jesus and his disciples were in a ship on the Sea of Galilee. The disciples were afraid of the storm. They awakened Jesus and asked if he did not care what happened to them. Jesus rebuked the wind and the waves and then the storm ceased immediately. Jesus asked his disciples, "Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?"  Mark 4:40;

Tracy loved this story. She longed with all her heart to have such faith. She knew that Jesus always proved his faith. He overcame every problem that came to him. Jesus promised his followers that they should overcome theirs, too.
