The Triumph of God's Day
Day and night are generally regarded as measurements of time, but some people believe they will eventually end and some vague eternity will begin. Christian Science offers a transcendent and more satisfying concept of day than the beauties of sunrise and sunset. Mrs. Eddy defines "day" in Science and Health:
"The irradiance of Life; light, the spiritual idea of Truth and Love.
"'And the evening and the morning were the first day' (Genesis i. 5.) The objects of time and sense disappear in the illumination of spiritual understanding, and Mind measures time according to the good that is unfolded. This unfolding is God's day and 'there shall be no night there." Science and Health, p. 84;
