Many have been the beautiful experiences I have had in Christian Science. Through the years there have been physical healings, as well as the overcoming of timidity, which had plagued me since childhood. Paul's instruction to Timothy, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (II Tim. 2:15), has been especially helpful in enabling me to rid my thought of self-centeredness and the fear of meeting people.

I should like to relate one physical healing which I experienced a few years ago. A kidney condition came on suddenly when I was out of the city. The nature of it was such that I could not walk, sit, or lie down with any degree of comfort. I selected a practitioner's name from The Christian Science journal and called her for prayerful help. I was able to go out with friends that evening and to leave for home by train the next day.

A local practitioner took up the work when I reached home, and soon the healing was complete. The next week I drove some distance to the State Fair to serve in The Christian Science Monitor booth. I stood the greater part of a day in perfect comfort. What a joy this proved to be!
