Christian Science was introduced to me by a friend who saw how distressed my husband and I were over one of our sons, who was suffering from petit mal. The medical faculty had advised us not to allow this child to participate in games of any sort. They had said he should lead a very sheltered, quiet life. We had also been told to be ready to make provision for him, as it was unlikely he would ever earn his own living. The taking of drugs was discontinued, and treatment was given by a Christian Science practitioner. We had to claim the boy's perfection as a child of God.

The healing was not a quick one; there were so many lessons to be learned, human traits of character to be eradicated, and false pictures wiped out of thought. But for this experience I am very grateful. This young man now leads a very full life, swimming, playing tennis and ice hockey, driving his own sports car, and is gainfully employed.

During our initial period of studying the Bible and the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I too was healed. Migraine, warts on the hands, chilblains on my feet, bad temper, and an inferiority complex, which had troubled me for many years, faded away. These healings gave me a freedom before unknown.
