For the privilege of being reared...
For the privilege of being reared in a Christian Science family, I am grateful. From the time I could barely toddle, I attended Sunday School. Here I learned the basic truths of Science and how to apply them to daily living.
When I was a baby, I was gravely ill with pneumonia; but through my parents' steadfast reliance on God, which a beginning knowledge of Christian Science gave them, I was healed.
My religion has been a great help to me in my schoolwork, both as a student and as a teacher. When I was in graduate school I had many proofs of the healing power of God, Mind. One situation stood out above all others in giving me convincing proof that as the reflection of God, man expresses infinite intelligence.
