I was brought up in Christian Science,...
I was brought up in Christian Science, and over many years I have experienced healings and protection in many phases and trials of human experience.
One of my earliest physical healings was that of a felon which had threatened to prevent my playing the piano in an important concert scheduled for two weeks later. With a faithful practitioner's help and in spite of the anxiety of many of those connected with the concert, the finger was normal within a week, and the technique of that hand had improved more than if I had been practicing for hours with it every day.
Within less than an hour every vestige of a severe cold, with complications, disappeared following a call at noon to a Christian Science practitioner. When I said that I did not think that I could stay with my work at the office, his gentle rebuke was, "Why not stay with the work instead of with the cold?" My response to that remark was joyous laughter, and the healing came almost immediately. One of my co-workers, amazed at the transition, said that she had expected me to be at home in bed for several days instead of working late that day and being completely free, as I obviously was.
