How Friendly Are We?
We all know the warm glow that comes when we meet a friend.
The writer of Proverbs has told us what makes a friend. He said, 'A friend loveth at all times" Prov. 17:17; — not only in prosperity but also in adversity. A friend is someone whom we not only love, but one in whom we can confide. We trust his confidence and loyalty and always feel safe in his company.
From the beginning of history we read of great friendships. What greater friendship do we know than that of David and Jonathan:' Saul, Jonathan's father, was David's greatest enemy, and suggestions of loyalty to his father must surely have tempted Jonathan; but the love of true friendship prevailed.
