Having practiced the nursing profession several years as a registered nurse, I had expressed disapproval of Christian Science many times. Then after a car accident I was out of work and had reached the very depths of despair and could see no human way to go forward. I then remembered a book that was in our home; it had belonged to my grandmother. This book was Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I was already reading the boo!, of Psalms in the Bible, and I started reading this book of my grandmother's. I read for some time, not understanding much that I read; but in a few days I found work in the nursing profession, and it continued for several years.
Then after a number of years I was married to a wonderful man, but again I experienced much inharmony. One of my doctors advised me to try Christian Science. During this period of inharmony, I turned again to my grandmother's book, Science and Health—this time for keeps. The religion I had once ridiculed proved to be the only remedy necessary for the healing of all the discordant physical conditions.
