Darlene's Kitten
[Of special interest to children]
Darlene came running into the house. In her arms was a little black-and-white kitten.
"Mother," she exclaimed excitedly: "May I keep her? Oh, please, may I keep her?"
Looking thoughtfully at her happy daughter and then at the kitten in her arms, Darlene's mother said, "You may keep her overnight, dear, but tomorrow we must find another home for her."
