I was brought up in Christian Science...
I was brought up in Christian Science, and my grandmother and aunt were practitioners. My mother was also a devoted student who had many wonderful healings and worked out numerous problems through her study of and reliance on her religion.
An outstanding healing to me was that of grief when my mother passed on about two years ago. I felt that I was prepared for her passing, but I found to my dismay that I was more grief-stricken than the rest of the family and needed more help. A Christian Science service was held for her at which Hymn No. 64 from the Christian Science Hymnal was read. Its third verse says,
