Dominion over Fear

During the school year Nancy had used Christian Science to heal pain. One night, when she had to prepare for a big test in social studies, she proved that Christian Science also heals fear.

Before every social studies test she had worried so much that she had cried and been unable to sleep. This time Nancy tried to see that she could study calmly and not bow in fear over her notes and books. To do this would be tilling the soil, and she knew that Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (pp. 517, 518): "Man is not made to till the soil. His birthright is dominion, not subjection."

Nancy had read in the Bible that when Jesus was only twelve years old, just her age, he had talked wisely with learned men in the temple. When he was grown, "the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?" (John 7:15.)
