Error Cannot Talk
Sometimes we think or say to ourselves when an aggressive suggestion is presented to us, "Oh, that is just error talking." Error cannot talk; error does not exist. "Whence comes a talking, lying serpent to tempt the children of divine Love?" queries Mrs. Eddy on page 529 of Science and Health.
From what source could error originate if God is the fount of all being and creates only good? We learn in Christian Science that God fills all space; He creates all that has entity and is aware only of the entireness of His perfect creation. This leaves no opportunity for anything unlike Himself to exist.
The Psalmist declared (Ps. 19: 2-4): "Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world." The only speech or language that really exists originates in God, on a timeless basis, and fills all space. Therefore the only voice or power of utterance is from God.
