Words are inadequate to express...
Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and her revelation of Christian Science to the world. Shortly after World War II and the return of my husband from service with the Royal Air Force in Burma, we left England for Australia. After a few months of city life my husband felt he must go somewhere right away where he could think and work out in quiet the problem of life, and to this end he accepted a position on a lighthouse station.
Circumstances caused him within a very short time to be put in charge; and when taking over, he found bundles of Christian Science literature. These he brought to the house, and we studied them with great interest and then purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy.
Later, when we moved from the lighthouse station to a small village on the island, we became friendly with some Christian Scientists and went to several meetings in their homes. After we moved back to the mainland our study became dilatory.
