Although my mother was blessed with having Christian Science in her home when she was a young girl, it went out of her experience for a period of several years but not completely out of her thought. After she was married and had a family, both she and my father decided to turn to Science and rely on it alone for healing.

I was a young child at the time and under medical care for what had been diagnosed as rheumatic fever. Medical treatment was given up, and the practitioner who was asked to help me requested that we dispose of all medicine and trust God's loving care completely. Of course, we did so. In a very short time this healing took place, and I was free.
