Our fourth child was two months old when I felt as though I were carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. My husband worked very long hours in his own business, and I seemed to be smothered in an atmosphere of demands. At this time Christian Science was presented to me, arousing a strong desire in me to seek God wholeheartedly. I called upon a Christian Science practitioner, and within two weeks I disposed of all the medicine in our home. God has been our only source of help ever since.

My husband observed the change in me and was so impressed that he consented to have our children go to a Christian Science Sunday School. The children loved it from the very beginning. For two weeks my husband attended an earlier service at his regular church, and then came on to the service at the Church of Christ, Scientist, which I had begun to attend. He started studying the Lesson-Sermon, found in the Christian Science Quarterly, and then gave up attending his regular church. Within one year we both became members of the branch church.
