RADIO PROGRAM No. 167 - How Honest Should I Be?
QUESTIONER: An article in Fortune magazine touched specifically on the subject of honesty. It said: "Admittedly, it is getting increasingly hard to know what's right or wrong about a lot of business practices.... There is a 'gray' area where there are no written rules of conduct." Now, what about that? Isn't it hard sometimes for a businessman to distinguish clearly between right and wrong?
SPEAKER: Yes, it may seem very hard sometimes. However, if our real motive is to be completely honest, this often removes much of the difficulty. The letter of the law sometimes is confusing, but the spirit of the law seldom is.
