Often we hear or read a testimony...
Often we hear or read a testimony of healing in which the person says that he is more grateful for the better understanding he gained of God and his relationship to Him than for the healing itself.
In my earlier years as a student of Christian Science I used to wonder about this remark. I experienced many proofs of the efficacy of Science, but I believe I took it very much for granted for a long time. In recent years, more particularly since becoming a member of a branch church, I have shared this deeper sense of gratitude.
I should like to relate a healing that meant a great deal to me. My husband and I had had dinner with a group of friends and were leaving the party early. It was very dark where our car was parked, and I turned my ankle and fell. The pain in my foot and ankle was extreme.
