"ONE THING IS NEEDFUL"
Luke 10:42
"One
thing is needful," Jesus said;
"Mary hath chosen that good part."
Then Martha must have bowed her head
And humbly searched her troubled heart.
No vain distractions, nor the press
Of earthly longings, daily cares,
Nor human will, can cause distress
When Mind is guiding our affairs.
The unencumbered thought will bring
Tranquillity throughout each day.
If we but choose the needful thing:
The truth that none can take away.
Helen C. Benson
