Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England (First Church).

Sunday next, September 27th, witnesses an important event in the history of Christian Science in Huddersfield. On that day at eleven o'clock in the morning and at six-thirty in the evening, dedication services will be held at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Huddersfield, in the church edifice, Mountjoy Road.

Christian Science was first introduced in Huddersfield in 1905 by a local business man, following which a group of people gathered frequently in their homes to study the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.... By 1908... the group... hired an upper room at the corner of High Street and Market Street where services were held.
