I should like to express my gratitude for the main blessings which have unfolded in my experience since Christian Science came into my life about forty-eight years ago. I had not at that time really begun the earnest study of this truth; but I was reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and I was instantly healed of chronic headaches. It was two years before I realized that it was the truth that I was reading that had freed me. The headaches have not returned.

Next I had a severe cough. I had had this cough for about three months. Then I visited an aunt who was a student of Christian Science, and after I got to her home the coughing stopped completely as a result of her prayerful work.

I had blood poisoning in my hand, and a friend took me to see a practitioner. On the way there I opened Science and Health and read one sentence over three times. Then I realized I was healed. I felt so free and happy that I closed the book and silently thanked God, who is Truth. Love, and Life. I then asked my friend to take me home because I was well. All swelling and discoloration left my hand, and I was able to do all my farm chores that evening.
