Christian Science was introduced...
Christian Science was introduced to my family when I was nine years old, and I had the blessed privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School where I first learned the basic truths of this religion. I shall always be grateful to the teachers who patiently helped me along the way. Since that time each step of my experience has been an unfoldment of good as I have acknowledged the unerring direction of God.
At the end of the Second World War, when the housing situation was rather difficult, it became necessary for my husband and me to move to another town about two hundred miles away. We made a brief visit of three days to the town in search of a suitable home.
The first two days appeared to be spent in fruitless searching. On the morning of the third day our thoughts were directed to these words of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, in Science and Health (p. 454): "The understanding, even in a degree, of the divine All-power destroys fear, and plants the feet in the true path,—the path which leads to the house built without hands 'eternal in the heavens.'"
