Spiritual Researchers

In this modern day there is an endless amount of research going on. The material body has been dissected times without number; the medical profession has concocted a great variety of products from drugs; in splitting the atom, men have opened up new fields of research into the labyrinths of material force; space exploration is engaging vast amounts of money and time; and the psychologists are probing into the realms of human thought and behavior. This research is largely based upon the hypothesis that matter is the basic substance and that man is essentially material.

Christian Science is opening up a whole new world of research and development with the fundamental discovery that Spirit is the basic substance and that God is the divine Principle of existence. Searching out the nature of God as divine Love, Truth, and Life has brought new insights into the nature of man as God's image and likeness. As one progresses in the understanding of Science, this new point of view affects his whole experience—his health, his supply, and his attitude toward his fellowmen.

The laws of spiritual being have been unfolded through the discovery of Christian Science in this modern age, but this Science is the same basic knowledge that Jesus demonstrated. Just as the laws involved in many lines of human development were not utilized or appreciated until discerned by progressive discovery, even so the laws of spiritual being, which enforce spiritual wholeness, health, and abundant supply, need to be understood, or spiritually discerned, in order that we may use them in our daily experience.
