Our True Heritage

Students of Christian Science are realizing ever more clearly the truth of the Apostle John's statement (I John 3:2), "Beloved, now are we the sons of God." At this moment, and without having to wait for some future date, man is God's son. Because man is the offspring of God, Spirit, he is spiritual, and not a creation of matter.

This man of God's creating is our true selfhood, and it is impossible to recognize man through the material senses. To the extent that one understandingly identifies himself as the perfect and eternal son of God, he dispels the belief of human parentage with its fears and trials.

The understanding that God is the Parent of all removes the fear of the so-called law of heredity, and this truth that divine Life is the Life of man operates as a law to destroy false material beliefs.
