Our Leader says in the Manual of The Mother Church (Art. XVII, Sect. 2), "Gratitude and love should abide in every heart each day of all the years." I write this testimony with a deep sense of gratitude for guidance and physical healings received through Christian Science and especially for a clearer understanding of God gained from the wonderful textbook by Mrs. Eddy.

Some years ago, when the textbook was given to me, I read it continually and attended a Church of Christ, Scientist, nearby, not seeking physical healing but a way of life which would lead to a more consistent peace of mind, and this I gradually found.

Progress was slow, but I noticed as the years went by that I no longer suffered from sick headaches, which had been my constant companion on days out, nor from laryngitis, an illness which I had had at least three times every year in a severe form. When this condition disappeared, it is difficult to say, but the threat tiling was I had been healed.
