Blessings Timeless and Ever Present
Mrs. Eddy states on page vii of the Preface of Science and Health, "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." Sometimes the individual has a tendency to look for an occasional blessing from God and to overlook the daily proofs of His presence that are apparent to all who have eyes to see. The Psalmist recognized God's constant providence when he declared, "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits" (Ps. 68:19). The Father's provision for His children is timeless and ever present.
Mortal mind argues that we may find some good in the future or that yesterday we lost our chance to attain it. This error can always be rejected since, where it pretends to exist, right there is the spiritual fact, which error denies.
Infinite blessings become ours by virtue of our understanding of true existence. In order to have this understanding, we have to eliminate every thought of the past or of the future which presupposes any separation from God and to dedicate our thinking to the ever-present eternal now of spiritual reality. We may claim our portion of good now because God is All-in-all.
