In
the record of spiritual creation which is found in the first chapter of the Bible the word "good" is used frequently, and the account closes with the statement that "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good".
We
read in the Scriptures that when the people took up stones to cast at him, "Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by".
How
many of us, when looking back over a disappointment, have seen that we were blessed or protected at the time we believed we were being thwarted.
In
the one hundred and seventh Psalm the writer reiterates this refrain: "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" Praise and thanksgiving have been common forms of worship in many ages and evidently effective forms.
It would never be possible to put into words all the gratitude I want to express for the understanding of God that has come to me.
I was
reared in accordance with the teachings of Christian Science, and from childhood I learned to apply its teachings in solving the problems I had to face, either at school or concerning health.
Over
forty years ago a friend asked me if I would go with her to a Wednesday testimony meeting in a Church of Christ, Scientist.
How
grateful I am that I had the privilege of finding and learning of Christian Science over fifty years ago! I studied it diligently, and through that study, and the application of the truths I was learning, I was preparing myself for the many problems which came to me to be solved.
It
is with a heart full of gratitude that I write this testimony.
