My first healing in Christian Science...
My first healing in Christian Science took place main years ago. I had just begun to do the kind of work that I had eagerly anticipated when a great sense of fatigue and difficulty in walking made it impossible for me to continue.
A well-known specialist in Paris, where my mother and I were living, recommended rest and said that I should never be able to do more than four hours' work a day. But my mother was skeptical about medical opinions, and she decided that we should consult someone else. We went to Switzerland, where the remedies prescribed by another noted physician were unsuccessful. I was treated by a third doctor, but the slight improvement was only temporary.
On returning to our home in Paris, I heard of Christian Science, and in a very short time I received my healing. For many years after that I led an active life as a free-lance writer.
