Having known no way of life other than that taught by our Way-shower, Christ Jesus, and by our beloved Leader, I can only wonder how mankind can possibly get along without studying and applying this wonderful truth.

As a pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School from earliest childhood, I had been taught that divine "Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way" Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 454) and that our Father-Mother God watches over us and has only good planned for us. As I grew older and decisions had to be made regarding preparatory courses in school, and later regarding employment, it was comforting and relaxing to know this and to have no anxious moments even when faced with what seemed an unfair request for my resignation from a position. When the shock and resentment were dispelled from my thought, another position opened up at a better salary with more congenial co-workers.

As the years have proceeded I have found that seeing myself as God's perfect expression and idea has helped me to see my fellowmen as such and thereby not only have discordant personal relationships and business problems been quickly and advantageously resolved, but my experience has been enriched.

When I was about thirteen, sinusitis manifested itself as well as migraine. These two beliefs of mortal mind either in combination or alone made me very miserable every few weeks for many years. When attacks were particularly difficult to bear, the help of a practitioner was sought, and temporary relief was usually quickly effected.

I realized that something in my thinking had to be cleared up before I could be rid of these errors, and this resulted in much self-examination. I knew that all the help that had been given by-practitioners, my mother, and friends, as well as my own work, was effective, not for temporary-relief but for permanent healing.

During one particularly long period of inclement weather some years ago I suddenly became aware that I had not had a sinusitis attack for some time. The exact time of the healing was unknown. The same was true of the migraine, which, however, took longer to disappear.

Whenever some erroneous condition has resisted and discouragement has attempted to dominate my thinking, I have always derived comfort from the following words of Mrs. Eddy and have renewed my determination to continue along the path to the top of the mount (Science and Health, p. 233): "Every day-makes its demands upon us for higher proofs rather than professions of Christian power. These proofs consist solely in the destruction of sin, sickness, and death by the power of Spirit, as Jesus destroyed them. This is an clement of progress, and progress is the law of God, whose law demands of us only what we can certainly fulfil."

For the many healings and blessings, for the peace of mind and happiness I have received from the study and application of Christian Science and from work as a member of a branch church, for membership in The Mother Church, and for class instruction, I am profoundly grateful. I thank God daily for the unselfed love for mankind expressed by Christ Jesus and Mrs. Eddy, who truly gave us the key to the kingdom of heaven.—(Miss) Marie Elizabeth Weber, Bay Shore, New York.
