RADIO PROGRAM No. 143 - The Christ Is Here!

INTERVIEWER: Most of us are familiar with the great works performed by Jesus, and there is no doubt about the effect of his teachings on people's lives generally. But many people do wonder if the power behind those works is still available today. What are your comments about this?

SPEAKER: Christ Jesus indicated the timeless, permanent nature of the Christ. He said (John 8:56), "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it and was glad." According to the Bible, this statement amazed his listeners, and they said to him. "Thou art not yet fifty years old and hast thou seen Abraham?" Jesus replied. "Before Abraham was. I am." And then at another time, he said (Matt. 23:20), "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." In these words, he explained that the Christ is here yesterday, today, and forever.

Fundamentally, what people want to know is: Was it Jesus' personality, that is, some special dispensation, which enabled him to do his healing works? Or through his sonship with God did he exemplify the divine Principle, the eternal Truth, ever present, and always active?
