God Expresses Himself
"A genuine realization of... God's allness enables one
to demonstrate more of his true individuality"
That God expresses Himself, the Psalmist must have glimpsed clearly, or he never could have uttered the words, "Thou sendest forth thy spirit" (Ps. 104:30). Christian Science teaches that in order to cultivate such discernment, we have to set aside a finite, personal sense of ego. The awful audacity of the mortal self, egotistically claiming to be an originator, has to be forsaken before identity, as the expression of God's pure, eternal being, can become evident. A continuing and abiding satisfaction can come in no other way.
