My first healing in Christian Science always stands out very clearly to me, for it was brought about solely by my reading of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

I had been examined by three different physicians and was told I had tuberculosis of the lung. One of them told me if I lived outdoors in a high altitude and took a rest cure for a year, I had a chance to recover.

I went to a small inn located high in the mountains and obeyed the doctor's orders. While there I had a hemorrhage from the lung. This frightened me. My family was sent for and took me home. It was then that I felt the medical profession had completely failed me.
