There are many blessings for...

There are many blessings for which I am grateful. They include, the return of lost articles, my daily supply, healings of many unbecoming traits and habits, and the healing of migraine of long standing.

Another healing was that of a very bad heart condition. Twenty-five years ago the doctors told me I would have to give up my line of work and the sports that I enjoyed so much. Remembering some of the wonderful healings I had heard related at Wednesday evening testimony meetings in Churches of Christ, Scientist, and had read about in the periodicals, I was sure this condition could be taken care of through Christian Science, and I told the doctor so. From then on, I held to the truth of man's perfection as God's idea and continued with my work and sports as usual. I had slight attacks, and feeling I needed some help I called on a dear friend of mine who is a practitioner and told her of my problem. She turned me to the Bible and to Science and Health by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, giving me several references to study. She also told me not to let fear enter my thought, for it is the foundation of all our troubles. Medical help was discontinued.

I had not realized it until then, but I did fear for my supply. At the time I was the sole breadwinner for my parents, and the thought often came to me after one of the attacks: "What will happen if I am stricken and do not come out of it, as the doctor predicted? Who will care for my parents?" After talking to the practitioner and studying the citations she gave me, I realized that God is man's source of supply and that nothing could happen to it or to me, for I dwell in the consciousness of Love, into which no error can enter.
