During the years since I first began to study Christian Science, I have witnessed and experienced many healings through it. Of far greater importance, however, has been my steady growth in understanding the spiritual reality which is everywhere present, for God, Spirit, is omnipresent good, is All-in-all.

Probably the outstanding healing which I have witnessed is that of my elder son, who came to my apartment one night suffering from the painful and frightening effects of blood poisoning. Some days before, he had injured his hand, and an infection had set in, causing the entire arm to become swollen and discolored before I had any knowledge of the condition.

When I first saw the evidence which was presented to me, I was tempted with the thought that the condition was beyond help other than removal of the arm by surgery. But this thought was quickly rejected as being the fruitage of false education, which I had been learning to correct through Christian Science. I remembered that nothing is impossible to God, and I invited my son to be seated while we reviewed some of the spiritually scientific facts that both of us had learned during the years when he was a Sunday School pupil.
