Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." This statement by Mrs. Eddy (Science and Health, p. 494) contains such a precious promise that it has a special place in our hearts, even before its promise is fulfilled. Knowing its truth gives me a sense of gratitude to God and deep humility. I like to think of it in conjunction with the Master's words in the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 6:33), "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

I heard of Christian Science many years ago at a time when I needed it greatly, because we were having difficulties in our business life, which gave rise to much wrong thinking. Through the faithful help of a Christian Science practitioner, I was set on the right track. I was healed of an alarming heart condition; and I was also freed from worry and depression and fear of the future, so that new prospects opened before me. It became clear to me that in order to prove daily God's sustaining love and abundant supply, I first had to express good at all times; that I must strive to see my neighbor as God's child, in reality expressing Love, no matter how great the injustice might seem that was done to me.

In the years following we have had many more healings. I am especially grateful for the physical healings my husband has had of intestinal hemorrhage, neuritis, heart trouble, gastric catarrh, grippe, and indigestion. These healings have been permanent. Our son was healed of a serious case of pleurisy, and I of tonsillitis. Through the realization that in God's kingdom nothing can be lost, I recovered my valuable diamond ring. And we have been protected from accidents.
