I feel I can never enumerate...
I feel I can never enumerate all the good that God has sent to me, but I should like to relate a few experiences.
Sometime ago a very dear one hurt my feelings. It seemed a large problem to me, so cruel, unnecessary, and unjust. As I was talking with a friend about this, she asked me if I were obeying Mrs. Eddy's instruction, found in the Manual of The Mother Church, regarding the daily prayerful work we should do. I had to tell her that I was not; so she advised me to go home and be obedient.
I lived with three Sections of Article VIII of the Manual for days. The first of them is Section 1, entitled "A Rule for Motives and Acts." It contains this sentence: "The members of this Church should daily watch and pray to be delivered from all evil, from prophesying, judging, condemning, counseling, influencing or being influenced erroneously."
