WORDS OF CURRENT INTEREST
[The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly designated to be read in Christian Science churches on November 8. 1964.]
Workmanship (Eph. 2:10)
The Greek word poiema, derived from the verb poieo, meaning make, act, do construct, can also mean "creation" or "handiwork." Moffatt translates the complete verse as follows: "God has made us what we are creating us in Christ Jesus for the good deeds which are prepared beforehand by God as our sphere of action."
