"It is well"
"We are promised by the Psalmist that when we make
God our refuge, no evil shall befall us"
The story of the Shunammite woman found in the fourth chapter of II Kings is an inspiring account of what has seemed to the writer of this article to be the refusal of a woman to accept the death of her son as resulting from any action on the part of God. When this death occurred, not only did she hold fear in abeyance by setting out to seek Elisha in order to prove God's power to heal her son, but she firmly declared when she was questioned on her way (verse 26), "It is well."
