I first came to know Christian Science through an employer, whom I met when looking for work. I wish to express all my gratitude to this friend. My meeting with him occurred over thirty years ago. I have since had numerous proofs of the ever-presence of God.

At one time my family and I wanted to find a sunny apartment. Knowing that in the "Father's house are many mansions" (John 14:2), we found within a month the desired apartment—sunny, well lighted, and in a pleasant section. Our joy was great; we felt that we had been guided and protected.

The time came when I desired to carry on my profession independently. To do this it was necessary for me to solve many problems and overcome insurmountable opposition. With the aid of a practitioner, who helped me to understand that the divine plan can encounter no obstacle and that the thoughts of the Lord are "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give... an expected end" (Jer. 29:11), every problem was solved, and, as I had hoped, everything turned out harmoniously.
