I should like to express through our periodicals my gratitude for Christian Science and for the many blessings and physical healings which I have experienced from my study and application of its teachings. A member of my family had been healed of tuberculosis through studying the Christian Science textbook by Mrs. Eddy; but my interest in it was awakened after I suffered extreme nervousness because of a fall down the steps of my home.

At this time I was led to attend a Christian Science lecture, and a few days later I called on a practitioner, who lent me a copy of Science and Health. After reading a few pages from the textbook, I realized the presence and power of God and continued to study until I was completely healed of the nervousness. Since then I have also been healed of stomach upsets, colds, chronic sore throats, a kidney infection, and skin irritations. A heart murmur which had been medically diagnosed before I began to study Science was also healed.

In my experience fear has given way to faith, and weakness to strength. I have also been freed from feelings of inadequacy and dread of the future. In working out my problems, I have been especially helped by this verse (II Tim. 1:7): "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." It led me to acknowledge God as my Mind and the only Mind.
