I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science and its healing efficacy. About three years ago I was sitting at my desk at work when I suddenly became very weak. I arose from the desk and told my supervisor that I felt ill and would like to go home, but it is a rule at this plant that anyone going home on sick leave has to be checked out through the medical department. I was escorted to the medical office and was examined by the two physicians there.

They diagnosed the trouble as a quite severe heart condition and sent me to a specialist, who gave about the same diagnosis as the plant doctors and wished me to go to a hospital for treatment. He gave me all the reasons he could think of, which were many, why I should go to the hospital, but I made my decision for Christian Science and went home. My wife called a practitioner and asked for treatment for me. Prayerful work was done by the practitioner; there was constant improvement, and all is well now.

I am very grateful that I had learned through the study of Science that there is nothing that can resist the power of God, divine Love, and because of this I had no fear whatsoever. "Perfect love casteth out fear" (I John 4:18). I am grateful to be a student of Christian Science. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, for class instruction, and for the opportunity of taking an active part in church work.—John C. Wolflin, Middletown, Kentucky.
