I give this testimony with a heart full of love and gratitude to God for the wonderful blessing of Christian Science. It came into my life when I was wandering in the wilderness of false human beliefs, seeking pleasure and satisfaction from the amusements of materiality. My greatest blessing has been the awakening of thought to the glory of God and of His love. My only desire is to serve God and to gain a better understanding of Him with which to help my fellowmen, and I am learning each day to overcome petty irritations that would rob me of my God-given joy.

I have had many healings through Christian Science. One that stands out to me is a healing of a severe cold which was accomplished with the help of a practitioner. When I went to bed I was very miserable, but when I awoke in the morning I was entirely free from all symptoms. I used to be plagued with colds at rather frequent intervals; but thanks to Mrs. Eddy's provision of the Bible Lessons in the Quarterly, which have helped me to overcome my fear of colds, I have been free from them for some time.

A more recent demonstration of the power of divine Love to heal was made when I had a badly injured foot. It was predicted by those not interested in Christian Science that it would be a long time before I could bear my weight on it. I hurt the foot on a Monday and on Wednesday I had a great desire to be in church that evening for the testimony meeting. With the aid of an improvised crutch I went and was very much inspired. On Thursday morning I suddenly realized I was free and could walk without pain. That was the end of the difficulty.
