An Accessible Location Invites Activity

By locating its Reading Room in ground-floor quarters of a busy downtown center, a church in Brooklyn, New York, is blessing its community and its own membership. The librarian writes:

"The window display is fulfilling its purpose of presenting Christian Science to the passersby. A woman who noticed the lecture card in the window came into the Reading Room to talk with the librarian. She was given a church directory and lecture schedule. Subsequently she was seen at a Wednesday evening testimony meeting.

"Attracted by the window display a man came to ask for literature which would explain Christian Science. He was given some of the free booklets referred to on the radio program, 'The Bible Speaks to You." He then purchased a Christian Science Sentinel and expressed a desire to attend the church services.
