I am very grateful to be one of...
I am very grateful to be one of those to whom Christian Science was presented at an early age, so that over the years problems have been approached with a feeling of confidence in God, whether the difficulty was a physical or financial one or one of another nature.
During the economic depression, in choosing between two positions offered, I was led through prayer to choose the one with the smaller salary. This proved to be a wise decision, and many opportunities for advancement subsequently unfolded; whereas the other office later closed.
At one time a number of warts appeared on my right hand. As these grew larger and more numerous, I became self-conscious about them and tried to hide my hand, but this was impossible in office work. Many cures, from the latest medicines to the oldest superstitions, were suggested by friends and co-workers.
