I should like to relate an instantaneous...
I should like to relate an instantaneous healing I had of a long-standing habit. Some years ago at the passing of my husband I became interested in Christian Science. In time I wanted to join The Mother Church and a branch church, but the liquor habit stood in my way. I argued continually with myself but could not reach a decision.
I have a friend who is a Christian Science practitioner in our community. She helped me to overcome a fear of traffic and to solve several problems that arose in my office work. She and I attended a Christian Science lecture, and after the lecture we sat in the car discussing the truths given us by the lecturer.
Suddenly I said to my friend, "I'm sure you wonder why I'm not a member of The Mother Church." She made no reply to this. Then I told her of the constant debate going on in my mind. I wanted to join the Church, but I was not convinced the liquor habit was harmful to me or wrong. I asked her if she would please help me. She waited a few minutes and then quietly replied: "Don't worry. It will be taken care of."
