"With wings as eagles"
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Gordon was a pupil in the Christian Science Sunday School. There he learned of the complete goodness and allness of God, and he learned that God never sends evil, nor does He know it. Gordon also learned that he and his classmates were really God's pure and perfect ideas, expressing all the lovely qualities of God. He was taught that the spiritual healings performed by Jesus were natural results of Jesus' understanding of God and that even a child can have this understanding
Gordon liked all kinds of outdoor activity and was always happy when he was playing baseball, hockey, basketball, or football with the other boys at home or on the school team.
But one day in a strenuous game of baseball at school Gordon slipped and hurt his leg. He went limping home and told his mother that the school doctor who had examined him after the accident said that he had torn a ligament in his leg and that he must not play baseball any more or try to run fast, because if such a thing happened again, he might always have to walk with a limp.
