Just before the birth of our third...

Just before the birth of our third son I became interested in Christian Science, and I should like to tell of some of the healings our children have experienced, because these might be helpful to other mothers. Christian Science has been my only help for almost fifty years.

Jesus said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God" (Mark 10:14).

When our eldest boy was ten years old, one of his playmates accidentally dropped the cover of a manhole on the toes of his foot. My husband, not being interested in Christian Science, called a doctor, who said that the blood vessels at the end of the toes had burst. He bandaged the foot; then told us to keep it elevated and not to touch the bandage, and he would return at the end of three days. That was all he could do. I called a Christian Science practitioner, and since the boy was receiving no medication, she agreed to give him treatment through prayer.
