When I was very young I had...
When I was very young I had an experience for which I am particularly grateful because it proved to me that Christian Science does heal. During a lecture on Science, knowing that healings sometimes took place at such lectures, I asked a member of my family why I was not healed of cold sores which had appeared around my mouth.
I was told to listen very attentively because I would hear some statement of truth which would correct the erroneous thought behind the condition. This I did, forgetting all about the sores, and when the lecturer finished speaking it was found that they had completely disappeared.
At another time, as I jumped over a wire fence, my foot caught in the top strand with the result that I fell, and my head struck the ground with great force. For a time I could not remember who I was or where I was. My mother helped me to deny reality to the injury in the light of the truths of Christian Science, and in two days the healing was complete.
