Church Dedications
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (Fourth Church).
Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist (Kerrisdale), a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, will mark a happy milestone in its progress, when the church edifice is dedicated on Sunday, January 28th, 1962. Three services will be held, at the hours of 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.
The history of this branch church began in May, 1947, when a group of members from other branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, in this city, organized and applied for recognition from The Mother Church, to become a Christian Science Society, located in the Kerrisdale district. Upon receiving their charter, they rented the Legion Hall for the church services and the first service was held on June 1st, 1947.
