"Wake up before you go to sleep"

"Whenever error of any sort seems to be reality, one's need is for spiritual awakening"

Paul's letter to the Ephesians contained this admonition (5: 14): "Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light." These words of the apostle's should be a challenge to each person who reads them. They should cause him to ask himself some questions, such as: What does it mean to awake? What does it mean to arise from the dead? What is the Christ, and what is this light which the apostle promised as a reward for this awakening? One dictionary definition of "awake" is to "bestir oneself; to become active again."
