In September, 1910, I was instantaneously healed of nervous prostration after three years of semiinvalidism.
From childhood I had loved God, and when I had prayed, my prayers were answered. I always expected them to be. My great desire was to be of service in the world; so after two years of teaching school I took a medical nurses training course, thinking that to minister to and comfort the sick would be the highest service one could give to the world.
While working in the hospital, I lost faith in medical treatment and also in the theology I had known, for both had disappointed me.
